If you have ever watched the Cops shows or looked at a cops gun when you see them in person, you will notice a lot of the times they are carrying a Glock model weapon.
We decided to review a Glock and find out why so many in Law Enforcement prefer the Glock over other weapons.
After looking at different models, we chose the Glock 23 / 40 caliber with nite sites to review.
1. Breakdown and cleaning of the this weapon is the easiest I have ever seen. In less than 10 minutes, you can breakdown, clean and reassemble this pistol. That makes target shooting a whole lot more fun knowing you don't have to spend and hour when your done cleaning the gun.
2. This is a great weapon for self defense in your home during the night time hours. The nite sites light up very bright and would make targeting an intruder in the dark very easy to do.
3. Firing this gun takes a little getting used to. A 40 caliber shell has a good kick to it but the weight of the Glock handles the kick very well. Once you are familiar with how the gun fires, you can hit pretty much anything at short or far distances.
The model 23 uses a clip that will hold 13 rounds and this model came with an extra 13 round clip which is nice to have. However, it becomes pretty hard to get rounds into the magazine after the 10 round. It uses the safe action safety method which eliminates the need to deactivate a safety devise prior to shooting. The safety is incorporated in the trigger and your finger must be directly on the trigger and pulling in order for the weapon to fire.
I understand now why so many in Law Enforcement choose this brand of weapon.
